The gathering was a production celebration—not a scene from the milestone episode.

The photographs, credited to Mark Mainz/STARZ, capture the cast and Roberts celebrating the series reaching 100 episodes. Heughan took the sword to the cake, which bore the inscription “Outlander 100 episodes.” The event took place in September 2024; the available reports do not specify its exact day or establish a complete attendee list.

Roberts described the scale of production this way: “If we shot continuously, it’s been four years straight of filming,” he noted, adding that this did not count the second unit. Balfe replied, “Except it’s felt like 11,” referring to the years they had been making the series. She also called the milestone “amazing” and “a century of TV.” Heughan joked, “We need a bigger cake.” These remarks were reported by Entertainment Weekly in 2024.
Which episode is number 100?
The 100th episode is season 8, episode 9, titled “Pharos.” Coverage published in 2024 described it as the penultimate episode of the eighth and final season. The celebration photos document the production milestone; they are not presented as on-set action from “Pharos.”
