When did the One Piece Elbaf Arc start?
Toei Animation announced that the Elbaph Arc would begin airing in Japan on April 5, 2026, after a three-month production break following Egghead Arc Part 2. The Straw Hat Crew sail from Egghead toward Elbaph, which Toei describes as the land of Giants. Toei’s January 12 announcement gave the date and linked the trailer.

The date was for the Japanese broadcast, not a universal release date. ONE PIECE.com’s episode guide identifies episode 1156, broadcast April 5, as the start of Elbaf; it later listed episode 1180 for September 27, 2026.
Is there an official Elbaf Arc trailer?
Yes. Toei’s announcement links an official video titled “Elbaph Arc Official Trailer | ONE PIECE.” That confirms an official trailer was available with the announcement; it does not establish that it was the first promotional video ever released for the arc.

What was announced about the anime’s 2026 schedule?
A prior franchise notice announced a January-to-March 2026 production break, a target of about one manga chapter adapted per anime episode, and a maximum of 26 episodes during 2026. These were the announced production policy and annual ceiling, not a guarantee that 26 episodes would air or that every episode would adapt exactly one chapter. ONE PIECE.com’s production-break announcement sets out that plan.
