When did episode 1123 come out in the United States?
The Japanese broadcast time of 9:00 p.m. JST on April 5 converted to approximately:
- 8:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on April 5
- 7:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time on April 5
- 6:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time on April 5
- 5:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on April 5
Those are conversions of the Japanese television broadcast, not guaranteed Crunchyroll upload times. Archived North American release-calendar listings placed the subtitled episode at roughly 8:45 a.m. PT / 11:45 a.m. ET, but the official Crunchyroll return announcement confirms the April 5 release date more clearly than it confirms that precise U.S. clock time. The safest wording is that Crunchyroll made episode 1123 available on April 5 after the Japanese broadcast.
Where to watch One Piece episode 1123
The subtitled episode returned to Crunchyroll on April 5, 2025, as part of the platform’s resumed One Piece simulcast. Availability can depend on territory and subscription access, so viewers should check the episode listing for their region rather than rely on a Japanese broadcast time alone.
Rank #2
The English dub was a separate release. Crunchyroll announced dubbed episodes 1123–1133 for August 12, 2025, across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. Episode 1123 is listed in English as “The World Shakes! The Straw Hats’ Hostage Situation.”
What is episode 1123 about?
Episode 1123 is part of the Egghead Arc. Its Japanese title is 世界震撼!麦わらの一味立てこもり事件, commonly translated as “The World Shakes! The Straw Hats’ Hostage Situation.” It follows the major developments surrounding the Straw Hats and the wider world after the preceding Egghead material.
Because episode 1123 was the anime’s return episode, viewers may also have encountered an Egghead Arc recap immediately before it. That recap was included in the special April 5 broadcast but is separate from the new episode itself.
Rank #3
Was episode 1123 delayed?
Episode 1123 was not a normal one-week delay. The previous regular episode, 1122, aired on October 13, 2024, before the Egghead Arc entered a production and broadcast break. The anime then returned with episode 1123 on April 5, 2025.
The return also changed the schedule format temporarily: episode 1123 aired on Saturday, while episode 1124 began the new regular Sunday-night slot the following day. That is why older listings may show April 5 for episode 1123 even though One Piece had generally been associated with a Sunday release.

Which manga volume relates to episode 1123?
Readers who want to revisit the manga material connected with this stretch of the Egghead Arc can look for the One Piece Volume 108 manga. The official One Piece episode listing associates the surrounding early Egghead material with that volume range, and the official comics catalog identifies volume 108 as collecting chapters 1089–1100.
Volume 108 should not be described as a frame-for-frame episode 1123 novelization or as a guaranteed one-volume adaptation of the episode. The anime’s episode-to-chapter pacing does not always align exactly with collected-volume boundaries. For context, volume 111 collects chapters 1122–1133, showing that later Egghead material falls into a different volume range.
