Chapter 1125 does not confirm that Vegapunk has a secret plan or a literal trick ready to spring. Its sharper tease is that his apparent death has not ended the struggle over his work: the World Government retains access to Punk Records and other critical Egghead assets, leaving Vegapunk’s research consequential beyond his physical presence.
What happens in Chapter 1125?
In the chapter, titled “What Death Means” in a secondary chapter reference, Saturn reports that the World Government has secured York, Punk Records, and the power station. Those assets matter because they are connected to access to the Mother Flame. The recap also says Figarland Garling takes Saturn’s place among the Five Elders and Imu kills Saturn. These plot details come from a secondary recap; consult the licensed chapter for the exact dialogue and panel-by-panel presentation.

The official listings establish the chapter’s publication and collection details, but do not provide readable chapter text in the VIZ listing cited here. The title is the chapter’s title, not a quoted line from a character.
Does Vegapunk have a confirmed trick or secret plan?
No specific hidden contingency is confirmed by the chapter evidence available here. “Keeps a trick up his sleeve” works as an interpretive tease, not as a literal reveal that Vegapunk announces or executes a new plan in Chapter 1125.

#1 Best Overall
The grounded connection is the continuing importance of Vegapunk’s research and Punk Records. The World Government’s control of the infrastructure means his legacy remains part of the political and technological stakes even after the apparent loss of his main body. That leaves open questions about what access to his work will mean; it does not prove that Vegapunk anticipated this outcome or secretly arranged a countermeasure.
What does the title “What Death Means” suggest?
The title invites readers to think about death and what remains after a person is gone. In the chapter’s aftermath, Vegapunk’s physical absence does not make his work irrelevant: Punk Records and the research infrastructure remain active objects of control. The title supports that thematic reading, but the available evidence does not establish a single definitive interpretation.

What is the status of Saturn and the Five Elders?
According to the secondary recap, Imu kills Saturn, and Figarland Garling takes his position among the Five Elders. This is a major shift in the World Government’s leadership as the Egghead events conclude. The recap supports the broad plot point; avoid treating its wording as official dialogue or as a substitute for the chapter’s exact scenes.
