What the reported October schedule said
The schedule below comes from contemporaneous IndiaTimes reporting, rather than an official anime broadcast calendar. It describes the India market, so it should not be treated as a release schedule for every country.

That sequence explains why the break was described as two weeks: the October 5 slot had no new episode, and the following week offered recap content instead of a new installment. It was not two consecutive weeks with no One Piece content at all.
The IndiaTimes report discussed Crunchyroll, Netflix India, and Cartoon Network India in an India-specific context. It does not establish when an episode aired or became available on those services elsewhere; availability and timing can differ by territory.

The manga calendar continued on separate dates
The anime pause did not correspond to a two-week manga hiatus. VIZ’s official English-language chapter calendar listed chapter 1163 for October 12, 2025, and chapter 1164 for October 26, 2025. Those are manga publication dates, not anime broadcast dates.
Readers who prefer print could also look to volume 113: Shueisha announced its release for November 4, 2025, with earlier scheduled dates in certain Japanese regions. The volume is an optional way to read the manga, not a way to watch the anime or a prerequisite for following the break. Shueisha’s release notice has the publication details.
Was the October break’s cause confirmed?
The sources cited here report the October schedule but do not establish why the interruption happened. No attributable official explanation for this particular October pause is available in those reports, so claims that it was caused by production quality, staff health, or manga pacing would go beyond what they verify.

On October 28, 2025, Toei Animation announced a separate production hiatus from January through March 2026, with a return in April and a changed annual episode structure.
