NBCUniversal described Peacock as the U.S. streaming home of the Paris Games. During the Games, its Olympic coverage included live events, full-event replays, NBC programming, clips and related content. However, the fact that Peacock carried the ceremony in 2024 does not establish that a complete replay remains in the catalog now. Anyone searching for an Olympics closing ceremony streaming option should check the current Peacock, NBC, Olympics.com or other authorized listings before assuming a replay is available.
What happened at the ceremony?
The ceremony was held at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, outside Paris. Paris 2024 presented the production, titled Records, as a large-scale show directed by Thomas Jolly. Its format combined performers, acrobats, dancers, circus artists, original music, reinterpretations and aerial elements.

As with every Summer Olympics closing ceremony, the event also marked the formal transition to the next host city. The Olympic focus moved from Paris to Los Angeles, which will host the 2028 Summer Olympics. The handover became the ceremony’s major U.S.- and Hollywood-oriented sequence.
Why Tom Cruise appeared
Tom Cruise’s appearance was part of the Los Angeles 2028 handover rather than a separate Paris 2024 competition or medal ceremony. NBC’s contemporaneous coverage connected his entrance with the Hollywood-themed transition to LA28, while the International Olympic Committee described the flag handover as a spectacular, star-studded passage from Paris to Los Angeles.
The important context is the host-city change: the closing ceremony was looking back at the Paris Games while introducing the cultural identity of the next Olympics. Cruise represented the Hollywood side of that Los Angeles presentation.
H.E.R.’s performance and the LA28 music lineup
H.E.R. performed the U.S. national anthem live in Paris as part of the Los Angeles handover. The LA28 announcement also named Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Snoop Dogg as participants in the handover celebration.
That lineup connected the ceremony with Los Angeles’s music and entertainment culture. H.E.R.’s performance was specifically identified as a live rendition of the U.S. national anthem; it should not be confused with a performance representing France or with an act officially named “France’s Air.”

What does “France’s Air” mean?
The phrase “France’s Air” appears in the search-title wording, but the official Paris 2024, LA28 and Olympic material reviewed for this guide does not establish a closing-ceremony segment or performer formally named “France’s Air.”
It is therefore safest to treat that wording as an ambiguity rather than as the name of a confirmed act. The documented French elements were the Paris location, Stade de France and Thomas Jolly’s Records production. The documented international handover included H.E.R., the announced LA28 performers and the transition of the Olympic hosting role to Los Angeles.
Can you still watch the full ceremony?
The original U.S. access is confirmed: NBC and Peacock carried the live broadcast, and NBC aired the primetime presentation on August 11, 2024. Current replay rights and catalog availability are separate questions and can change after an event ends.
