The original schedule placed three titles on October 17 and Thamma in cinemas on October 21, mixing theatrical releases with streaming premieres. Release dates and streaming catalogs can change; current India availability is confirmed here only for Bison Kaalamaadan and The Ugly Stepsister.

What each film offers
Bison Kaalamaadan: kabaddi and social drama
Mari Selvaraj’s Tamil film is built around a high-stakes kabaddi competition. The cast includes Dhruv Vikram, Anupama Parameswaran, Pasupathy and Lal. Netflix describes the 2025 film as a Tamil-language sports and social-issue drama. For India, JustWatch listed it on Netflix in a check dated September 18, 2026; that catalog listing is regional and may change.
Dude: a relationship story
Keerthiswaran wrote and directed this Tamil theatrical release. Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju are among the cast. Its setup follows a breakup and the support offered by a close friend.
Santosh: a murder investigation inside the police
Sandhya Suri’s feature debut follows Santosh, a police constable who joins a murder investigation. The story examines prejudice and power within the police. The original schedule named Lionsgate Play for its October 17, 2025 premiere; that listing does not establish where it streams now.

Emilie Blichfeldt’s directorial debut turns the Cinderella premise into body-horror satire. Disney+ classifies the 2025 film as comedy, horror and thriller, and names Lea Myren, Thea Sofie Loch Næss and Ane Dahl Torp. The original schedule named MUBI. A JustWatch India check dated October 7, 2026 also listed it on MUBI in India. A US JustWatch page reports Blu-ray availability and lists Amazon DVD/Blu-ray among retailers, but does not establish stock for a particular edition.
Thamma: supernatural romance in the Maddock universe
Thamma was dated for cinemas on October 21, 2025. Yash Raj Films confirms the date, identifies Aditya Sarpotdar as director and calls it “an extraordinary love story set against a backdrop of myth, mystery and supernatural romance.” The official page describes it as the latest installment in Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe.

How to read the dates and streaming listings
The October dates belong to the 2025 release schedule, not the current calendar. The original article cautioned that release dates could change, so its dates are best treated as reported plans rather than guarantees of what happened in every market. Streaming rights are also regional and subject to change: the India checks cited above apply only to Bison Kaalamaadan and The Ugly Stepsister. Current availability for Santosh, Thamma and Dude is not established here.
