Screenings bring together stories about ocean exploration, watersports, marine life, coastal communities and conservation. The films, dates and ticket availability vary by country and edition, so check your local tour page before planning to attend.
What is the Ocean Film Festival World Tour?
The World Tour presents a program lasting more than two hours, built from shorter films about the sea and the people connected to it. The festival says its vision is “to inspire you to explore, respect, enjoy, and protect our oceans.” Its program can mix adventure and sport with environmental storytelling and portraits of coastal life. The name can be confused with the separately named International Ocean Film Tour, which also screens ocean documentaries. They are distinct events; check the organizer and country site when looking up a screening.
What films might be on the program?
There is no single permanent lineup. Film selection depends on the edition and country, and a festival program may include both compact shorts and longer documentary stories.

For example, the UK’s 2026 Edition 10 page lists The Raftsmen (48 minutes), about a Pacific raft expedition; Stone Biter: Saving the Arctic Sea Forests (20 minutes); Ride of a Lifetime (12 minutes), about big-wave surfing; and The Kelp Collector (6 minutes), about cataloguing coastal algae. These are examples from that UK edition, not a guaranteed lineup elsewhere. UK 2026 Edition 10 films
The UK festival describes its autumn 2025 tour as featuring around six to nine films, each roughly five to 40 minutes long. That description applies to that past tour; it should not be treated as a rule for future programs.

Where and when are screenings?
Tour schedules are set locally rather than by one worldwide calendar. The World Tour’s main site says its 2027 tour is due to begin in Australia in February 2027 and that submissions are being sought for that tour. The Canadian site lists country-specific September 2026 screenings and booking status; the Italian site describes a 2026 tour running from 14 October to mid-November, with 22 events. These dates and booking details apply to those national editions, not to every location. World Tour updates; Canada tour; Italy tour

The World Tour says it works with local ocean charities in each tour location. Its Canadian page names Ocean Networks Canada and Living Oceans as conservation partners. Those partner references do not establish that ticket revenue is donated, that a donation is included with admission or that a particular screening supports a specific cause.
