For a mostly low-motion Hindi playlist on YouTube Live, start with OBS at 1920×1080, 30 fps, H.264, CBR, RTMPS, and a 2-second keyframe interval. Set bitrate only after measuring sustained upload at the streaming location: YouTube’s H.264 guidance is 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended for 1080p30, but those figures do not guarantee that a particular JioFiber connection or computer can sustain a stream.
Recommended starting settings
| OBS setting | Starting value | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution and frame rate | 1920×1080 at 30 fps | A sensible initial choice for mostly still artwork, lyrics, or other low-motion playlist visuals. This is a practical starting point, not a tested prescription for every playlist. |
| Encoder | H.264 | Use YouTube’s H.264 bitrate guidance below. A suitable hardware encoder may reduce CPU load, but the right choice depends on the computer. |
| Rate control | CBR | YouTube recommends CBR for the listed H.264 profile. |
| Video bitrate | Choose after measuring upload; see the table below | Available sustained upload, network sharing, motion, and encoder capacity all affect the workable setting. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds | YouTube recommends two seconds and says not to exceed four seconds for keyframe frequency. |
| Protocol | RTMPS | YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS and recommends RTMPS. |
| Audio | AAC | AAC is the audio format specified for this YouTube-oriented profile. |
These platform specifications are from YouTube’s live encoder settings guidance. They are ingest recommendations, not a promise about JioFiber performance or a guarantee that a particular PC can encode continuously.
Choose a bitrate for 1080p YouTube Live
| H.264 output | YouTube minimum | YouTube recommended |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p30 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| 1080p60 | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
These are YouTube’s current H.264 values, accessed in 2026. They are not JioFiber speed claims. A 1080p30 stream does not automatically need to be set to the recommended figure if the connection cannot sustain it; select a bitrate that leaves room for other network use and overhead, then validate it in a representative test.
OBS’s x264 guidance gives a separate starting range of 5,000–8,000 Kbps for 1920×1080 at 30 fps with the veryfast preset and low-to-medium motion. This is OBS-authored guidance for that specific x264 scenario, not YouTube’s current platform recommendation and not a universal target. OBS notes that there is no single “best settings” profile; preset, motion, resolution, frame rate, and bitrate change the result. See OBS’s x264 streaming discussion.

Set up OBS and test the stream
- Get an initial recommendation. In OBS, open Tools → Auto-Configuration Wizard and follow its prompts, or configure streaming output settings manually. The wizard can provide a hardware-aware starting point; treat its result as something to test, not a guarantee.
- Connect the broadcast. In YouTube Live Control Room, choose or create the broadcast and connect OBS through the current YouTube integration or stream-key workflow. Use the current on-screen steps. The OBS community guide to streaming to YouTube describes a workflow, but its interface guidance was last updated in 2021.
- Set the video profile. In OBS video settings, set the output to 1920×1080 and 30 fps. For the stream, select H.264, CBR, a 2-second keyframe interval, RTMPS, and AAC audio. Enter a bitrate suited to measured upload rather than assuming the ISP’s advertised plan speed is available continuously.
- Measure the real connection. Run a speed test from the streaming computer and location, preferably at a representative busy time and over the network path you will use. YouTube says, “We recommend running a speed test to test your upload bitrate.” Leave headroom for bitrate variation, audio, network overhead, and other household traffic.
- Run a representative preflight. Test privately or otherwise without an audience, using representative playlist visuals and audio. Check YouTube stream health and OBS statistics for dropped frames or encoding overload before relying on the setup.
- Tune based on the symptom. If the connection struggles or frames are dropped due to network conditions, lower bitrate first. If OBS reports encoding overload, reduce frame rate or resolution, or reduce encoder load. Change one factor at a time and repeat the test.
Decide between 1080p30 and 1080p60
For mostly static artwork, lyrics, or similar low-motion material, 30 fps is a reasonable first setting because it reduces encoding and upload demands compared with 60 fps. That is a workload-based inference, not a measured result for a specific Hindi playlist. If the stream includes frequent motion, compare both options using representative content and actual stream health.
- Assess how much movement appears in the playlist, not just the source video resolution.
- Account for the higher YouTube H.264 recommendation at 1080p60: 17 Mbps, compared with 14 Mbps at 1080p30.
- Check whether the computer can encode continuously at the chosen frame rate.
- Judge the picture and stream-health results in a real test before settling on a profile.
Can JioFiber handle a 1080p stream?
There is no single JioFiber upload figure established here for every plan, location, or time of day. The ISP name alone cannot tell you whether the stream will hold. Measure sustained upload from the computer that will run OBS, on the actual connection, and repeat when household network use is representative. Your usable upload may be below the advertised plan rate, and other household traffic can compete with the stream.

Troubleshoot dropped frames and unstable output
| What you see | Likely area to check | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Dropped frames or unstable stream health | Network capacity, competing traffic, or bitrate set too high for sustained upload | Measure upload again at the streaming location, reduce bitrate, and test with less network use. |
| OBS reports encoding overload | The computer or encoder cannot keep up with the selected output | Lower frame rate or resolution, reduce encoder load, or test a suitable hardware encoder if available. |
| Picture looks poor after reducing bitrate | Content motion and bitrate trade-off | Use a representative section of the playlist to assess the picture; low-motion artwork may tolerate a lower bitrate better than frequent motion. |
| Settings appear correct but the live stream still fails | Broadcast connection, stream key workflow, or current YouTube controls | Recheck the active broadcast and current Live Control Room connection steps, then perform another private preflight. |
Keep the playlist live without leaving OBS running at home
If you want to continue with the do-it-yourself setup, OBS needs to keep running on the computer connected to the measured network. For an always-on YouTube playlist without that home-computer dependency, StreamNeo is the cloud alternative: it loops uploaded videos on YouTube, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on.
Or let it run in the cloud
- Upload your recording or build a playlist.
- Add your YouTube stream key once.
- Go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded videos from the cloud.
There is no need to leave a computer on at home. Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; StreamNeo does not re-encode or offer quality tiers. It can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card required, one free day per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube streams from uploaded videos, not camera broadcasts. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
