पहले पहचानें: काली स्क्रीन कहाँ दिख रही है?
- OBS preview में Media Source काली है: फ़ाइल और source properties से शुरू करें; फिर visibility और scene layering जाँचें।
- Preview सही है, YouTube पर काली स्क्रीन है: सिर्फ preview पर भरोसा न करें। OBS का actual output देखें और छोटी recording बनाकर पता करें कि समस्या scene/source में है या YouTube तक भेजे जा रहे output में।
- वीडियो पहले दिखता है, फिर रुकता या काला होता है: playback state और resource load देखें। Performance या network की जाँच तभी करें जब stutter, encoding overload या dropped frames जैसे संकेत भी हों।
OBS के Sources Guide और Media Sources दस्तावेज़ scene composition और playback settings समझाते हैं; कोई एक setting हर black-screen समस्या का सार्वभौमिक समाधान नहीं है।
OBS Media Source को क्रम से जाँचें
1. सही फ़ाइल चुनें
- OBS के Sources dock में Media Source चुनें और Properties खोलें।
- Local File में पुष्टि करें कि वही फ़ाइल चुनी है जिसे चलाना चाहते हैं।
- यदि संदेह हो कि फ़ाइल पढ़ी नहीं जा रही, तो छोटी, ज्ञात-सही वीडियो क्लिप से परीक्षण करें। OBS Media Source के दस्तावेज़ में वीडियो के लिए
.mp4,.ts,.mov,.flv,.mkv,.avi,.gifऔर.webmदिए गए हैं। Extension सूची में होना हर codec या हर फ़ाइल के सही चलने की गारंटी नहीं है।
OBS के समर्थित media extensions और source settings की जानकारी Media Sources में है।
2. Visibility और source की परतें देखें
- Sources सूची में Media Source के पास eye/visibility control चालू है, यह जाँचें।
- सूची में ऊपर के sources preview में नीचे वालों को ढक सकते हैं। ऊपर रखे overlays या Color Sources को अस्थायी रूप से छिपाएँ।
- Media Source को scene में स्पष्ट दिखने वाली जगह रखें और देखें कि कोई दूसरी layer उसे पूरी तरह ढक तो नहीं रही।

3. Playback properties को लक्षण के अनुसार बदलें
- Restart playback when source becomes active: source के active/visible होने पर फ़ाइल फिर से शुरू कराने के लिए उपयोगी।
- Loop: फ़ाइल खत्म होने के बाद उसे दोहराने के लिए चालू करें।
- Show nothing when playback ends: छोटी clip खत्म होने पर source छिप सकता है और खाली या काली जगह जैसा लग सकता है।
- Close file when inactive: source inactive या scene से बाहर होने पर फ़ाइल unload हो सकती है; लौटने पर उसे reload होने में थोड़ा समय लग सकता है।
- Use hardware decoding when available: संगत decoder उपलब्ध हो तो कुछ फ़ाइलों को GPU से decode करता है। इसे चालू और बंद करके एक-एक बार परीक्षण करें; इसे निश्चित black-screen fix न मानें।
इन विकल्पों का पूरा वर्णन OBS के Media Sources पृष्ठ पर है। एक बार में एक setting बदलें ताकि पता रहे कि किस बदलाव से फर्क पड़ा।
VLC Video source कब आज़माएँ?
यदि फ़ाइल और scene की जाँच के बाद भी Media Source उसे नहीं चला रहा, तो VLC Video एक अलग playback path के रूप में परीक्षण किया जा सकता है। OBS के अनुसार VLC Video playlist और विस्तृत media support देता है, लेकिन आपके सिस्टम में VLC libraries स्थापित होनी चाहिए। 64-bit OBS के साथ 64-bit VLC चाहिए। यह हर playback समस्या का इलाज नहीं, बल्कि यह जाँचने का दूसरा तरीका है कि वही फ़ाइल दूसरे source implementation में चलती है या नहीं।

यदि playlist चाहिए, VLC पहले से स्थापित है और OBS/VLC architecture मेल खाते हैं, तो VLC Video आज़माएँ। अन्यथा पहले built-in Media Source की properties और एक ज्ञात-सही clip से जाँच पूरी करें। अधिक जानकारी: OBS Media Sources।
YouTube पर जाने वाले output को recording से जाँचें
- OBS में अपनी सामान्य scene और settings के साथ कुछ सेकंड की recording बनाएँ। OBS का Quick Start Guide बड़े प्रसारण से पहले settings जाँचने और recording या streaming से परीक्षण करने की सलाह देता है।
- Recording में भी Media Source काली है तो समस्या OBS के scene/source path में है। फ़ाइल, visibility, layering और playback properties पर लौटें।
- Recording सही है लेकिन YouTube पर दृश्य काला है तो OBS का actual program output और भेजे जा रहे दृश्य की तुलना करें। केवल preview को live output का प्रमाण न मानें।
- एक छोटा test stream करके बदलाव सत्यापित करें; पहले सीधे बड़े प्रसारण पर निर्भर न रहें।
उपलब्ध आधिकारिक OBS और YouTube निर्देश इस लक्षण के लिए कोई सार्वभौमिक YouTube toggle नहीं बताते। इसलिए recording और छोटा test stream समस्या की जगह अलग करने के व्यावहारिक तरीके हैं।

कब performance या network की जाँच करनी चाहिए?
Encoding overload या stutter हो तो
OBS को scene composite और render करने के लिए GPU resources चाहिए। यदि वीडियो रुकता है, output झटके खाता है या OBS encoding overloaded बताता है, तो पहले scene और rendering load घटाएँ:
- Output resolution या frame rate कम करके देखें।
- भारी sources और filters हटाएँ या कम करें।
- Scene को सरल करके फिर recording test करें।
- Windows पर GPU overload के लिए OBS को administrator के रूप में चलाना OBS की सूची में quick fix है; इसे इसी तरह के overload लक्षण हों तभी आज़माएँ।
कारण और सुझाए गए उपाय OBS के Encoding Performance Troubleshooting पृष्ठ पर हैं। यदि video स्थिर है और केवल काला दिखता है, तो बिना overload के resolution या frame rate बदलना पहला कदम नहीं होना चाहिए।

Dropped frames हों तो
OBS के अनुसार dropped frames का संबंध remote stream server तक अस्थिर connection या चुने गए bitrate को बनाए न रख पाने से है। उस स्थिति में upload stability, bitrate, VPN या security software, network optimizer, Wi‑Fi बनाम wired connection और network उपकरण जाँचें। OBS की क्रमवार सलाह Stream Connection Troubleshooting में है। एक स्थिर, बिना रुकावट चलने वाली फ़ाइल का black picture अपने-आप network या bitrate समस्या सिद्ध नहीं करता।

YouTube पर वीडियो चलाने के अधिकार भी जाँचें
यह OBS black screen का तकनीकी fix नहीं है, लेकिन किसी भी प्रसारण से पहले इस्तेमाल किए जा रहे वीडियो के अधिकार और YouTube की copyright तथा reused-content नीतियों पर अपनी स्थिति जाँचें। केवल यह कि फ़ाइल OBS में चलती है, उसे live stream में इस्तेमाल करने का अधिकार सिद्ध नहीं करता। काम शुरू करने के लिए copyright safety checklist देखें।
