How Strands works
As described by Try Hard Guides, Strands is a word-search-style game. Letters can be connected in any direction, and a letter cannot be reused. The spangram touches the board’s left and right edges and is highlighted in yellow. Theme words are highlighted in blue. The same guide says that finding three non-theme words of four or more letters earns a hint that highlights one theme word. Check NYT’s own game instructions for current rules, since these details come from a secondary guide.
