For the Friday, March 6, 2026 edition of NYT Strands, puzzle #733, the theme clue is “That’s dedication.” The spangram is YOURBIGGESTFAN. Three theme words are consistently reported as STAN, DEVOTEE and ENTHUSIAST; the remaining two words are disputed across published answer lists, so they are identified separately below.

- Forbes’ additional hint: “To the ends of the earth.”
- Forbes’ reported opening letters for the non-spangram words: LO, ST, FO, DE and EN. Parade reports YO as the spangram’s opening letters; the sources do not agree on this detail.
What is the Strands #733 spangram?
The reported spangram is YOURBIGGESTFAN. In Strands, the spangram describes the puzzle’s theme and connects two opposite sides of the board.

The remaining two words cannot be confirmed from the available published lists. Parade and Forbes give LOVER and FOLLOWER; Yahoo Tech instead gives MANIAC and ADMIRER. Because those reports conflict, neither pair should be treated as verified against the NYT game record.

How NYT Strands works
The New York Times describes the objective as: “Find theme words to fill the board.” Players drag or tap connected letters to make words; found theme words remain highlighted in blue. The spangram is a theme-describing word or phrase that reaches between opposite sides of the grid.

Non-theme words can also help: Parade reports that finding three earns a hint revealing the letters of a theme word. Forbes describes the board as a six-by-eight letter grid. The Times’ theme guidance, quoted by Forbes, says themes may be fill-in-the-blank phrases, steps in a process, items in a category, synonyms or homophones.
