Use these in order, moving on only if you need a stronger nudge.
- Theme: Spacing out.
- Clue words: TRAM, RAIN, SNORE, BORE, BONE and CUMIN. These are suggested words to find on the board to earn the game’s hints; they are not puzzle answers.
- Spangram clue: Time and space.
- Spangram position: It begins at the top of the board in the fourth column and ends at the bottom in the sixth column.

How the hints work
Strands is a theme-based, word-search-style game. Find the theme words on the board; the spangram is the longer answer that describes the theme. Non-theme words can generate hints in the game. The clue words above are prompts for earning those hints, rather than entries in the solution.
