February 15, 2026 NYT Crossword answers

Crossword Chef lists the 2026 puzzle as a Sunday crossword by constructors Michael Lieberman and Rebecca Goldstein, edited by Will Shortz. It reports a 21×21 grid with 147 clues. Its longest answer is the 22-letter theme revealer, ITSALLDOWNHILLFROMHERE.

The revealer’s clue is “Things are only going to get worse” … or a hint to answering the seven italicized clues. If you are looking for help with a specific entry, Try Hard Guides presents its February 15 answer guide as a clue-by-clue lookup, so you can search for a prompt instead of scanning a full answer list and encountering spoilers.

Why the year matters

February 15 alone does not identify one NYT crossword. XWord Info says its database includes puzzles beginning with February 15, 1942, illustrating how the same calendar date can point to different puzzles across years. The answer above is for February 15, 2026, the date matched by the available puzzle guides.
