How to approach puzzle #500
The game’s goal is to group sports terms that share a common thread, as the New York Times instruction is quoted in Parade’s February 5, 2026 guide. Before revealing the answers, look for words that could fit more than one sports context: a term may suggest a position, a famous player, a career milestone, or an event name.

Blue: first names of quarterbacks with 500 career touchdown passes
