Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four that share a theme. The groups are color-coded by difficulty: yellow is generally easiest and purple trickiest. - One group is about making a connection.
- SOME and FEW belong together.
- One group describes an annoyance or nuisance.
- Another group consists of words for an indeterminate amount.
- For the last group, put “the” before each word to form a familiar tarot card name.

Why is HANDFUL easy to misplace?
HANDFUL can suggest an amount, which makes it tempting to group with FEW, MANY, SEVERAL, and SOME. In this solution, however, it means a nuisance or troublesome person, alongside BOTHER, PAIN, and PEST. The tarot group is confirmed by adding “the” to each word: The Fool, The Lovers, The Magician, and The Tower.
