Hints for Connections #411

  • Yellow: Which way?
  • Green: You got this.
  • Blue: A bad thing.
  • Purple: Sounds like a sound maker.

The 16 tiles are LIAR, CON, BACK, DOWN, SUPPORT, SYMBOL, MINUS, LOOT, CHAMPION, STRIKE, DING, RIGHT, BASE, UP, ENDORSE, and LEFT.

Why the purple group is tricky

The purple tiles sound like musical instruments rather than spelling their names: BASE sounds like bass, LIAR like lyre, LOOT like lute, and SYMBOL like cymbal. That sound-based connection is the key to recognizing the group.
