Yellow — COMPLAIN

How Connections works
Connections presents 16 words and asks players to sort them into four groups of four based on a shared theme. The groups are color-coded by difficulty: yellow is easiest and purple is trickiest. Some words may seem to fit more than one theme, but each puzzle has one solution, according to the NYT Help Center.

The NYT Help Center says Connections is free to play on supported platforms and releases daily at midnight in the player’s timezone. It also describes the full archive, which goes back to June 12, 2023, as available to All Access and Games subscribers. Archive games affect certain statistics but do not count toward streaks.
