How to find the historical puzzle

The New York Times says its Connections archive reaches back to June 12, 2023. As of October 7, 2026, archive access requires an All Access or Games subscription and a New York Times account for progress and history. Archived play can affect some statistics, but it does not count toward streaks; once an archived puzzle is completed, it cannot be replayed. These access terms may change.

The daily puzzle appears at midnight in the player’s timezone, so “today’s Connections” can refer to different dates depending on location. For this solution, the unambiguous reference is puzzle #314, dated April 20, 2024. The game is available through the Games app, NYTimes.com Games, NYTimes.com/theathletic, and the News app, according to the Times Help Center.
