But the sources checked do not establish a U.S. premiere date or confirm where the dub is currently available by territory.
What is the new U.S. release?
Nukitashi: The Animation is an anime adaptation of Qruppo’s adult visual novel, animated by Studio Passione. The studio connection explains the “High School DxD studio” wording in the earlier headline; this is a separate series, not a new High School DxD release. The U.S.-focused license announcement, published by Ascendent Animation on Oct. 2, 2025, named OceanVeil, Kadokawa, and Ascendent Animation as partners. Ascendent’s announcement describes the partnership and the series’ versions.
Ascendent’s current series page includes an English-dub trailer. That confirms a dub exists in promotional form, but the page does not provide a U.S. premiere date or specify the dub’s territorial availability.
When does the English dub come out in the U.S.?
A U.S. release date is not established by the checked sources. The 2025 announcement said the partners would produce an English dub; it should not be treated as proof of a particular launch date. A trailer is available on Ascendent’s title page, but a trailer alone does not confirm that episodes are streaming now, which service carries them, or whether access is limited by country.

Where can viewers watch it, and which versions are involved?
The licensing announcement distinguishes three versions: a Seiran Island version, a fully regulated version, and another broadcast version. It identifies the Seiran Island and fully regulated versions as cuts streamed on OceanVeil. The announcement does not resolve current U.S. access to OceanVeil, nor does it say which cut—if any—has the English dub.
| Version or presentation | What the sources establish |
|---|---|
| Seiran Island version | Identified in the licensing announcement as an OceanVeil streaming version; the announcement also says it is included on the anime’s Blu-ray Disc box. |
| Fully regulated version | Identified as another version streamed on OceanVeil. |
| Other broadcast version | Named as a distinct version in the announcement; its platform availability and relationship to the dub are not stated. |
| English dub | An English-dub trailer appears on Ascendent Animation’s series page; the U.S. date, streaming service, territory terms, and cut are not stated. |
For viewers in the United States, the practical distinction is that a version’s existence does not establish that it is currently accessible there. Check the platform’s current listing and regional access details before subscribing or searching for a specific language track.

Why was a Japanese broadcast reported with no visuals?
A CBR report published Oct. 3, 2025, described the Tokyo MX-1 presentation as audio-only, with a static bird image against a beach backdrop in place of regular visuals. That account concerns the reported presentation on that station; it does not show that every Japanese channel or every version of the anime used the same format. The report also identifies Studio Passione as the animation studio. CBR’s report is a secondary account, not a comparative ranking of censorship across Japanese TV anime.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is there a Blu-ray, and is it available in the U.S.?
Ascendent’s licensing announcement says the Seiran Island version is included on the anime’s Blu-ray Disc box. It does not establish that a U.S. Blu-ray edition exists, provide a U.S. retailer or current stock information, or confirm that the English dub is on the disc. Searching for “Nukitashi The Animation Blu-ray” may help locate listings, but a listing should be checked for region, included version, language tracks, and seller before purchase.
