The Tourneau/Bucherer Imperial Pilot listing displayed a price of USD $125 and “currently out of stock” when accessed. The Stormtrooper listing displayed $150 and “currently out of stock” at that time. These are page-specific observations, not current market values or proof that examples cannot be found elsewhere.
How do the Imperial Pilot and Stormtrooper versions differ?
Character design and size
The models represent different Star Wars identities, and the listed case dimensions are not the same: the Unit 40 Imperial Pilot is 40 mm in diameter, while the Unit Stormtrooper is 44 mm. The cited Stormtrooper listing does not state a thickness, so a direct thickness comparison is unavailable.

The Imperial Pilot listing identifies a custom digital movement but does not provide a comparable feature list in the evidence cited here. The Stormtrooper listing names several functions, including chronograph and dual-time/GMT. Water resistance
Both retailer listings state 100 m water resistance. That shared specification does not by itself establish suitability for any particular activity; check the watch’s documentation and condition, especially for a used or long-stored example.

Are Nixon Star Wars watches still available?
The two cited retailer pages showed their examples out of stock when accessed. That describes only those listings: it does not establish whether new-old-stock or secondhand watches are available through other sellers. The sources reviewed do not confirm a recent Nixon update, a 2026 release, changed specifications, or current direct sales of these references.

- Confirm the reference number on the watch and in the seller’s description: A490SW2242 for the Unit 40 Imperial Pilot or A197SW2243 for the Unit Stormtrooper.

A historical product catalog hosted by the Boba Fett Fan Club also describes a Stormtrooper 51-30, a different model from the 44 mm Unit Stormtrooper listing. That catalog gives it a 51 mm case and 300 meter/30 ATM water-resistance rating, alongside a rotating countdown bezel and character-specific design details. It is historical catalog information, not evidence of current availability or a new Nixon release.
