Are Nina Dobrev and Shaun White still engaged?
No. The couple called off their engagement and ended their relationship in September 2025, the Associated Press reported, citing a person close to them who spoke anonymously. In later AP interview remarks, White described the split as “a huge change in my life” and said he wished Dobrev the best. He did not explain why they broke up and said some online explanations were untrue. Those remarks were not a joint statement from the former couple. Associated Press interview
How did Shaun White propose to Nina Dobrev?
White proposed in late October 2024 at The Golden Swan restaurant in New York City. In Vogue’s account, he persuaded Dobrev to attend by arranging a fake invitation to an intimate CFDA/Vogue dinner with Anna Wintour. When did they announce their engagement?
Dobrev and White shared the news publicly on October 30, 2024. ABC News reported White’s caption as “She said YES 💍♾️” and Dobrev’s as “RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé 💍♾️.” These were their engagement-announcement captions at the time, not an indication of their current relationship status.
