Nick Cannon’s headline-making shoes were a one-off pair of diamond-covered Tom Ford loafers, reported in 2014 to be valued at $2 million. That figure was a reported valuation—not a documented sale price or a verified current appraisal. They are also distinct from the sneakers in Cannon’s wider collection, including an exclusive Air Jordan 7 design created for Wild ’N Out.
What were Nick Cannon’s $2 million shoes?
Jeweler Jason Arasheben created the bespoke loafers on a Tom Ford shoe platform. Cannon wore them during the America’s Got Talent finale in 2014. Entertainment Tonight reported that the pair was valued at $2 million, relaying details attributed to WWD.
The reported scale helps explain the headline. ET said the shoes had more than 14,000 full-cut round white diamonds set in white gold, weighing 340 carats in total, and required more than 2,000 hours of work. Cannon joked, “Two million dollar shoes, a million each foot.”
Why do reports give different diamond counts?
The number of stones varies by account, so the figures should be kept attributed rather than combined. ET’s 2014 report, citing WWD, gives a count of more than 14,000 diamonds. In a 2015 GQ video, Arasheben described the shoes as having “340 karats, over 18,000 stones set,” or 9,000 per shoe. He also said they took nearly a year to make.

Both accounts give a total of 340 carats, but neither resolves why their stone counts differ. The $2 million figure remains a reported valuation: the cited coverage does not establish a completed sale or a verified current appraisal.
How are the loafers different from Cannon’s sneaker collection?
The diamond loafers were a custom spectacle; Cannon’s sneaker collection is a separate story about collectible and customized athletic shoes. A 2017 Complex report covered an exclusive Air Jordan 7 made for Wild ’N Out. Its design included the show logo beneath an icy outsole treatment and colors representing the program’s teams. That description does not establish that the special version was available for ordinary retail purchase.

In its 2017 Complex Closets announcement, Complex described a collection spanning customized classic sneakers and bedazzled loafers. Cannon recalled buying three or four pairs of Concord 11s because he expected them to become classics. The feature placed the diamond shoes alongside the broader collection, but did not make the custom pair a standard sneaker release.
Were the diamond shoes sold for charity?
Cannon and Arasheben discussed a charitable sale or auction as a goal, not a confirmed outcome. In the Complex Closets announcement, Cannon said, “The goal is to sell them and donate all the proceeds to charity.” Arasheben described a plan in the GQ video to tour the shoes and eventually auction them for charity. The cited coverage does not confirm that an auction, sale, or donation took place.

Where can you see the shoe-closet feature?
Tubi lists the Cannon Complex Closets installment as an eight-minute sneaker-closet tour featuring the reported $2 million shoes. The listing identifies the episode, but says the content is unavailable on that page.
Complex also reported that Cannon hinted at a possible later Air Jordan 11 collaboration. A hint is not evidence that such a collaboration was produced, so it should not be confused with the documented Wild ’N Out Air Jordan 7 design.
