The NFL’s Taylor Swift promo was a brief season-opening montage posted on September 2, 2024, ahead of the 2024 season. It paired highlights from the previous NFL season with footage of Swift supporting the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis Kelce, under the caption “FOOTBALL IS BACK THIS WEEK.”
What the NFL promo showed
The clip was a fast-moving recap of moments from the preceding NFL season, with Swift appearing in footage tied to Chiefs games. Us Weekly described it as approximately 30 seconds long; Sporting News reported a runtime of 28 seconds. In practical terms, it was about half a minute.
The post’s caption presented the clip as a reminder that the season was returning that week. Contemporary reports placed it before the 2024 season opener. The available reporting establishes the timing and content, but not the NFL’s internal reason for featuring Swift.
How many times does Taylor Swift appear?
Published reports do not agree on the count. Us Weekly reported four appearances, while Sporting News counted five in its account of the 28-second clip. These are outlet-reported counts, not a verified frame-by-frame tally, so neither number should be treated as definitive without checking the original video.

Contemporary coverage reproduced or referred to the NFL’s social-media post. Us Weekly’s report and Sporting News’ report provide accounts of the video. The exact promo’s availability as a direct NFL-hosted video is not established here; the NFL’s “America’s Game” archive includes related 2024 season material but does not by itself verify that this specific clip is hosted there.
