New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT is Trigger’s 2025 return to the irreverent anime franchise, following fallen angel sisters who battle supernatural threats in Daten City. Its Japanese launch offered different versions across broadcasters and streaming services, so viewers should check the listing for their territory rather than assume every release is the same.
What is New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT about?
The official English series site sets the story in Daten City, a realm between heaven and hell. Sinister Ghosts feed on human desires and resentment, and the fallen angel sisters Panty and Stocking fight them. The site poses the question: “Are they truly messengers of God… or agents of the Devil?” The official page credits TRIGGER and Hiroyuki Imaishi.

When did the new series launch?
KADOKAWA announced a Japanese broadcast and streaming start date of July 9, 2025. Its schedule listed Prime Video’s Japanese launch for July 10 at 1:00 a.m. Japan time, after the broadcast began. These are launch details from 2025, not confirmation that the series is currently available in a particular country.
Is there a censored and uncensored version?
The 2025 KADOKAWA announcement distinguishes a censored terrestrial broadcast, an original version on AT-X, and original or censored streaming versions depending on the service. The labels describe the versions identified in those Japanese listings; they do not establish what is currently offered on a given platform or in another territory.

#1 Best Overall
Before watching, check the title’s current page in your country for the version label, subtitle or dub languages, and whether access is included with a subscription or requires a separate rental or purchase. A service’s historical launch listing does not guarantee that its catalog or terms remain unchanged.
Where can you watch it now?
Current country-by-country streaming availability is not established by the dated Japanese launch schedule. Search your local streaming services and confirm the current catalog entry and version details before subscribing or renting. Prime Video was listed for the Japanese launch, but that announcement alone cannot confirm present-day availability elsewhere.
Rank #2
Is there a Blu-ray?
KADOKAWA lists a New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT Blu-ray BOX. That establishes a physical-media release, but not current retailer stock or the specifications of a particular listing. Before buying, verify region compatibility, audio and subtitle languages, included contents, seller, and delivery availability for your location.
