The new Muppet most likely meant in Sesame Workshop’s Season 55 materials is Niamh, performed by Lindsey “Z” Briggs. The official page credits Briggs as Niamh’s performer and says Niamh had “recently made her debut on Sesame Street.” It does not explicitly label Niamh the season’s new Muppet, so that identification is an inference from the credit and debut note.
Who is the new Muppet in Season 55?
Niamh is the likely answer. Sesame Workshop’s Season 55 page lists Niamh among the Muppet performer credits and identifies Lindsey “Z” Briggs as her performer. The same page says Niamh had recently made her debut on Sesame Street.
The page does not provide a fuller character biography: it does not state Niamh’s age, personality, or role in a particular episode. Those details cannot be established from the official Season 55 material.
What Season 55 is about
Season 55’s curriculum centers on emotional well-being, with particular emphasis on emotion awareness and social connection. Sesame Workshop describes stories intended to help children understand and cope with big feelings through accessible strategies.
