New Apple TV+ shows and upcoming Apple TV movies and series coming soon in 2026 begin with The Dynasty: UConn Huskies on August 21, Dark Matter season two on August 28, and Mayday on September 4; Apple’s remaining listed releases run through November, while The Savant is undated and Snoopy Unleashed is set for 2027.
This release guide is current to August 13, 2026, and uses Apple’s official Originals index as its primary calendar. Apple’s index is more current than the February slate announcement for at least one title: Way of the Warrior Kid is now listed for November 25 rather than the November 20 date previously announced. That discrepancy is explained below instead of being silently resolved.
Key takeaways
- The next titles on Apple’s current Originals index are The Dynasty: UConn Huskies on August 21, 2026, Dark Matter season two on August 28, and Mayday on September 4. Apple’s official release index is the calendar to recheck before publication.
- Dark Matter season two has 10 episodes, premieres globally on Friday, August 28, 2026, and releases one episode each Friday through October 30. Apple’s season-two announcement confirms the schedule.
- Last Seen premieres September 9 with two episodes, followed by weekly episodes through October 7; the six-episode Australian thriller was formerly titled The Dispatcher and is adapted from Ryan David Jahn’s book.
- The calendar includes films and a documentary as well as series, so “new Apple TV+ shows” is a convenient search phrase rather than an exact description of every entry.
- Way of the Warrior Kid is currently listed for November 25, 2026, but Apple’s February announcement gave November 20; the date should be checked again before publication.
- Apple says the Apple TV app works on Apple TV 4K, smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, Xbox, and other supported screens, so an Apple-branded television is not required.
What new Apple TV+ shows and movies are coming soon?
As of August 13, 2026, Apple’s current Originals index lists nine dated releases from August through November, plus The Savant without a date and Snoopy Unleashed for 2027. The list is broader than television series: it includes returning seasons, new series, a sports documentary, and Apple Original films.
The table below separates firm dates from year-only or undated listings. “Apple TV+” remains the phrase many readers use to find the service, while Apple’s current press materials generally use the shorter Apple TV branding.

The Dynasty: UConn Huskies is the first remaining dated entry on Apple’s current Originals index, with an August 21, 2026 release date. Dark Matter season two — August 28
Dark Matter season two premieres globally on Friday, August 28, 2026. Apple has confirmed a 10-episode season with one new episode every Friday through October 30, rather than a full-season drop. The story continues the Dessen family’s multiverse drama, and Apple identifies the season as based on Blake Crouch’s bestselling novel. Apple’s release announcement confirms the date, episode count, and adaptation connection.
Readers who want the source material can look for Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. The novel is a companion read for viewers interested in the adaptation, not a prerequisite for watching season two.

What is coming in November 2026 and 2027?
The late-year list contains Way of the Warrior Kid in November, the undated The Savant, and Snoopy Unleashed in 2027.
Way of the Warrior Kid — November 25 on the current listing
Apple’s current Originals index lists Way of the Warrior Kid for November 25, 2026. Apple’s February 3, 2026, slate announcement previously gave November 20, 2026, creating a five-day conflict between two official Apple sources. The November 25 date is the current index date, but editors should recheck the index immediately before publication rather than presenting either date as permanently settled.

The Savant — date unannounced
The Savant appears on Apple’s current upcoming Originals index without a release date. No month, day, premiere pattern, plot, or cast should be supplied until Apple publishes those details.
Snoopy Unleashed — 2027
Snoopy Unleashed is listed for 2027, but Apple’s current index does not give a specific month or day. The year is the limit of the confirmed timing in the supplied research.

The best first choice depends on whether you want science fiction, a thriller, an action comedy, a documentary, a returning series, or a family franchise tie-in.

How will Apple TV release these titles?
Apple is using more than one release pattern: Dark Matter season two has a fixed Friday weekly schedule, Last Seen begins with two episodes before switching to weekly releases, films have listed premiere dates, and some titles have only a year or no date.
Apple’s broad February 3, 2026, slate announcement said, “With a buzzy upcoming slate, Apple TV will debut new originals each week in 2026, as well as new seasons of returning favorites, including ‘Ted Lasso’ season four this summer.” That announcement is useful context for Apple’s wider 2026 programming plan, but a general promise of weekly originals should not be treated as a release date for an individual title. The calendar above uses the current title-by-title index instead.
Do you need an Apple device to watch Apple TV?
No. Apple says the Apple TV app is available on Apple TV 4K, smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, Xbox, and other supported screens. Apple’s February 2026 announcement says the app is available on more than 1 billion screens, so an Apple-branded television is not a requirement. Apple’s supported-device and availability announcement is the source for that list.
An Apple TV 4K is one dedicated way to watch, but it is optional when a compatible smart-TV app, streaming stick, game console, or other supported screen is already available. Hardware pricing and any subscription or device promotion should be checked separately because the supplied research does not establish current hardware prices or publisher referral availability.

How much does Apple TV cost in the United States?
According to Apple (2026), the cited U.S. subscription information is $12.99 per month with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. The price and trial terms are time-sensitive and may differ outside the United States, so confirm the current offer before subscribing. Apple’s February 3, 2026, announcement is the source for the cited U.S. terms.

Those terms do not establish a worldwide price, a permanent trial policy, or eligibility for an existing subscriber. The safest interpretation is that the cited offer applies to new U.S. subscribers at the time Apple published the announcement.
How reliable are the upcoming Apple TV release dates?
The release calendar is a current snapshot, not a guarantee that every date will remain unchanged. Apple can add, remove, or revise upcoming dates, and the conflicting Way of the Warrior Kid announcements demonstrate why the official Originals index should be checked immediately before publication.
For a page published after August 13, 2026, update the opening answer, calendar table, and any countdown language first. Do not turn “coming soon,” “2027,” or an undated Apple listing into a precise date, and do not describe every calendar entry as a show when the list also contains films and a documentary.
The Bottom Line
As of August 13, 2026, Dark Matter season two is the clearest next series to track, while Matchbox The Movie, Last Seen, and Way of the Warrior Kid provide the strongest film, thriller, and family tie-ins. Check Apple’s current Originals index before publication because dates, prices, and trial terms can change.
