Netflix became the exclusive U.S. streaming home of WWE Raw on January 6, 2025. The deal is broader in many international markets, but Netflix does not carry every WWE property in the United States: current U.S. Premium Live Events are on ESPN platforms, while Netflix has the older event library and selected archive programming.
What WWE and Netflix announced
WWE and Netflix announced their long-term partnership on January 23, 2024. In the United States, the central right was exclusive streaming of Raw. The announcement also described a broader international package, including Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Premium Live Events, documentaries and original programming in markets where Netflix held the rights. The announcement did not make Netflix the U.S. home of all WWE programming. WWE’s partnership announcement explained that the U.S. arrangement differed from its international scope.
WWE’s TKO regulatory filing described an initial 10-year term and aggregate rights fees exceeding $5 billion, with an option for Netflix to extend for another 10 years. That figure applies to the broader rights agreement; it should not be read as a simple annual fee for Raw alone. The filing is the source for those contract terms.
When did Raw move to Netflix?
The partnership was announced in 2024, but Raw did not begin streaming there until January 6, 2025. Netflix’s first-year summary lists the U.S. weekly schedule as Mondays at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT; check the current Netflix listing for a specific episode, since schedules can vary. WWE’s premiere announcement gives the launch date.

At launch, WWE reported 4.9 million global views for the premiere, excluding 92 countries and territories where Netflix did not yet distribute WWE. The Associated Press reported an average of approximately 2.6 million U.S. households based on VideoAmp data. These figures use different measures and should not be treated as directly comparable television ratings. Netflix later said Raw appeared in its Global English TV Top 10 in 47 of 52 possible weeks during the first year; that is Netflix-reported engagement, not an independently audited comparison with traditional TV ratings. WWE’s launch figures, AP’s audience coverage and Netflix’s first-year summary describe the separate measures.
What U.S. viewers can watch on Netflix
As of August 2026, Netflix’s U.S. WWE offering includes live weekly Raw, past episodes, documentaries and original programming, plus a selected archive. On January 6, 2026, Netflix became the U.S. home of WWE’s Premium Live Event library for events before September 2025, including older WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble events. Catalog availability can vary, so an event’s historical rights do not guarantee that every past event is currently listed. WWE’s library announcement defines the time boundary and names examples.

What is not on Netflix in the United States
Netflix is not the sole U.S. destination for WWE. Current U.S. Premium Live Events—including WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Survivor Series—moved to ESPN platforms beginning September 20, 2025. The Netflix archive addition covers PLEs before September 2025, not the current-event rights. WWE’s ESPN rights announcement and the launch-date announcement set out the change.
Do not assume that SmackDown, NXT or every other WWE show moved to Netflix in the U.S. Domestic distribution remains divided among services; for example, Sunday Night’s Main Event airs live in the U.S. on Peacock. The precise service depends on the program, not simply on whether it is a WWE production. WWE’s announcement about Sunday Night’s Main Event provides that Peacock example.

How broad is the international deal?
Outside the United States, Netflix’s WWE rights are broader than the U.S. Raw-focused arrangement. WWE described Netflix as the home for shows and specials including Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Premium Live Events, documentaries and original series in many markets. But “international” does not mean every country or simultaneous access everywhere: local contracts, rollout timing and territory-specific rights create exceptions. WWE has referred to select international markets outside the arrangement, and Netflix’s launch information also noted territories where WWE was not initially available.

For your country, use the local Netflix catalog or its current WWE availability guide. A country’s access to one WWE show does not establish access to the full package.

The agreement moved a major weekly WWE program from a traditional linear-TV arrangement to a global streaming platform and gave Netflix a recurring live property. Combined with the broader international rights and the later library addition, it gives Netflix substantial WWE programming—but the U.S. split between Netflix, ESPN and other distributors means fans may need more than one service to follow different parts of WWE. The key distinction is between live rights for current events and rights to older recordings: those can belong to different platforms at the same time.
