Netflix’s October schedule lists new releases from October 12 through 16, 2026, including The Diplomat season 4, Love Is Blind season 11 and the documentary Free Leonard Peltier. The five picks below span drama, comedy, reality, film and documentary; they are an editorial shortlist, not a viewership ranking. Netflix’s calendar does not list releases for October 17 or 18. Dates and availability can vary by country.

Five notable Netflix releases for October 12–18

Free Leonard Peltier — October 12

This documentary follows a new generation of activists seeking the release of Leonard Peltier, an American Indian Movement leader whose conviction Netflix describes as disputed. The synopsis establishes the film’s focus, not an independent finding about the case. It is the week’s clearest choice for viewers interested in activism and current affairs.

Solar Opposites season 6 — October 13

The animated comedy returns with its story of aliens trying to fit into American suburbia after their home planet explodes. It offers a lighter option for viewers looking for a returning series rather than a documentary or drama.

Sacrifice — October 16
