Netflix’s U.S. September 2020 movie additions included catalog favorites such as the Back to the Future trilogy and Grease, alongside Netflix-branded films including I’m Thinking of Ending Things, The Devil All the Time and Enola Holmes. The dates below are the month’s reported arrivals in the United States—not a worldwide schedule or a claim that the movies are still streaming today.
Notable movies added to Netflix in September 2020
This is a selection of dated movie arrivals, not a complete movie-only count. The calendar also lists TV seasons, series and other programming, so its daily totals should not be read as movie totals.

How to read this release list
- It is U.S.-specific: Netflix release calendars vary by country, and these dates should not be generalized to other regions.
- It is historical: A September 2020 arrival date does not establish that a title remains available in the current Netflix catalog.
- It is a selection, not a movie-only inventory: The cited calendars mix films with series, seasons, specials and other programming. A date’s total may cover all formats.
- “Netflix release” does not always mean Netflix original: September’s additions combined licensed catalog titles with Netflix-branded films.
For the complete dated U.S. programming calendar, see What’s on Netflix’s September 2020 schedule. Contemporary monthly roundups are also available from TheWrap, Time and Rotten Tomatoes.
