A later report says it sold for $4 million. The property is also part of the couple’s on-camera history: in 2012, they welcomed Oprah Winfrey and her crew there for Oprah’s Next Chapter.
A family home that became a TV setting
Harris and Burtka bought the house in 2010, according to Realtor.com’s October 6, 2025 account. The couple lived there while their twins were young. In 2012, the backyard provided the setting for their interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter, with Winfrey’s camera crew at the home.
Realtor.com reported that the couple sold the property in 2014. Its account gives a purchase price of $2.1 million in 2010 and a sale price of $2.99 million in 2014; these are reported transaction details, not independently verified public-record figures.
What the Sherman Oaks property includes
Realtor.com described the Hamptons-style home as approximately 4,500 square feet on a 0.29-acre lot, south of Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks’ Stone Canyon area. Its six-bedroom count includes five bedrooms upstairs and a potential sixth bedroom downstairs.

Later technology and energy upgrades
Realtor.com reported that later owners added remotely controlled lighting, HVAC, appliances, and other electronic devices, along with Enphase solar equipment, Tesla backup wall batteries, and an EV charging station. Listing agent Andrew Manning told Realtor.com the additions cost an estimated $80,000. That figure is Manning’s estimate as reported by the outlet, not an audited project cost.

Manning also described the home to Realtor.com as “It is a truly great family home.”
