In episode 10, “Full Circle,” Tony and Ziva rescue their daughter Tali, stop Jonah and finally choose to try a relationship again. The finale ends not with a new crisis, but with the three of them back in their Paris apartment—and Tony and Ziva taking their first steps together slowly.
What happens in the “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” finale?
“Full Circle” brings the season’s central danger to a head: Tony and Ziva work with their new team to rescue Tali and stop Jonah. The immediate threat is resolved, but the episode also has to answer the question that has followed the pair through the season: whether they can be more than co-parents and partners in a crisis.
They do not make a sweeping promise about the future. With Tali’s blessing, Tony and Ziva agree to date again and take things slowly. The finale’s last image is the two of them quietly embracing in their Paris apartment after weeks of chaos.
Do Tony and Ziva get back together?
Yes, romantically—but the reunion is a beginning, not a declaration that everything between them is settled. They agree to try dating again, and the episode leaves the pace and outcome open. Tali’s blessing matters: the family reunion is part of the emotional resolution, not just a private decision between Tony and Ziva.

What happens to Jonah, Martine and Boris?
Jonah’s fate
Jonah is stopped, but his story does not end with his arrest. He dies in prison. Martine, his former lover and a spy, knows information about how it happened, leaving a thread that could matter beyond the immediate resolution.
Boris and Fruzsi
Boris’s engagement to Fruzsi ends. The change also leaves open the possibility that he could take on a more permanent role with Tony and Claudette’s security firm.

Why the finale ends quietly instead of on a cliffhanger
Creator and showrunner John McNamara told TheWrap that the production filmed a different, darker ending before he chose to remove it: “There was a very different ending to the finale that we shot, and I decided to cut it.”
He said the quieter scene worked once he saw Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly perform it: “Once I saw the footage I was like, ‘That’s the ending.’” The aired embrace gives the season emotional closure by bringing Tony and Ziva back together at home. The unused cliffhanger, McNamara said, might have served as the start of a future adventure; its removal keeps the finale’s final emphasis on the relationship rather than another danger.

Will “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” have a season 2?
The finale does not settle that question. In an interview published October 23, 2025, McNamara said there had been no conversations with Paramount+ about more episodes and that renewal decisions come down to audience numbers. That is a dated account of the situation at the time of the interview, not confirmation of the series’ status today.
TheWrap also reported that the three-episode debut in September ranked No. 8 on Nielsen’s streaming originals list for the week of September 1, with 371 million viewing minutes. TheWrap described that as the only publicly available viewing data for the series at the time. It does not, on its own, establish a renewal decision.
