Spoilers for the Season 22 finale, “Nexus.” CBS does not confirm that a beloved NCIS character dies or leaves the team. The finale’s official synopsis singles out Special Agent Alden Parker, saying the case could determine “his own future,” but it does not say what that future holds.
What the Season 22 finale confirms—and what it doesn’t
“Nexus,” the 20th episode and Season 22 finale of NCIS, aired May 5, 2025. CBS’s episode listing describes a case involving the Nexus cartel, mob boss Carla Marino, and stolen nuclear material. Parker is drawn into an uneasy alliance as the team investigates. CBS’s Season 22 episode guide identifies the episode and provides its synopsis.

The synopsis says the alliance could determine the fate of the operation and Parker’s own future. That is a tease of possible consequences, not confirmation that Parker—or another named character—dies, leaves NCIS, or is removed from the team. CBS’s March 20, 2025 finale preview uses the same broad framing without announcing a specific character outcome.
Why Parker is at the center of the tease
Among the characters on the team, Parker is the only one whose personal future the official episode description specifically mentions. CBS’s series page identifies him as Special Agent Alden Parker, alongside senior agent Timothy McGee, Nick Torres, Jessica Knight, Jimmy Palmer, and Kasie Hines. CBS’s series description provides that team context.
#1 Best Overall
The wording does not resolve whether Parker faces danger, a change in his circumstances, or another consequence of the case. Without a stated outcome, it would be inaccurate to turn “his own future” into a claim that the finale confirms his death or departure.
