Daniel Bellomy plays Dawson, a probationary agent who assists the Evidence Custodian. The April 2024 report described him as hoping to move from that support job into field work.
Special Agent Benjamin “Randy” Randolf
Caleb Martin Foote plays Randolf, a popular agent assigned to show Gibbs the ropes. The report described Randy as a father of twins and the agency’s “golden boy.”

Where the casting fits in the story
NCIS: Origins is a prequel following Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the early 1990s. The announced story places the young Gibbs at Camp Pendleton, where Mike Franks leads the team. Austin Stowell plays young Gibbs, and Kyle Schmid plays Franks; CBS identifies Stowell as young Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Mark Harmon as narrator on its official series page.
The roles announced in April 2024 belong to the prequel’s early-career setting. They should not be confused with later developments in the show. CBS’s current series listing describes season three as bringing Harmon back as Gibbs in a present-day mystery connected to his Camp Pendleton past; that is later series context, not part of the 2024 casting announcement: CBS’s current series listing.
