Naruto’s most powerful named attack is best placed near the top of this list: Six Paths: Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken, a final-battle technique that combines Six Paths power, Kurama’s full transformation and shadow clones. Baryon Mode can make Naruto more dangerous in close combat, but it is a life-consuming form—not a conventional standalone attack—and the official Naruto database lists Kurama as its wielder. This is an editorial ranking, not an official franchise order; it weighs demonstrated combat impact, scale, versatility, setup and cost.
How this ranking defines a jutsu
Naruto’s arsenal includes attacks, combinations and power-up forms. To make the count useful, this list includes distinct named techniques and named combat forms when they have a clearly different function. Forms such as Kurama Link Mode and Six Paths Sage Mode are not counted as standalone attacks. Baryon Mode is included because its combat effect is distinct, but it is identified as a form rather than an ordinary attack.
The order is editorial. A technique’s placement reflects what it demonstrably accomplishes, how broadly it can affect a fight, and what it takes or costs to use. The official Naruto retrospective traces Naruto’s progression from Nine Tails’ Chakra Mode to Kurama Link Mode and then Six Paths power: official Naruto story retrospective.
The ranking
1. Six Paths: Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken
This is the strongest named attack in the available end-of-series evidence. In its account of the final Naruto–Sasuke battle, the secondary reference Narutopedia describes Naruto combining Six Paths power, Kurama’s full transformation and shadow clones to produce a large Rasenshuriken incorporating Tailed Beast Balls. It says the attack counters Sasuke’s strongest offensive technique and calls it Naruto’s strongest technique at that point. That is a secondary source’s description, not an official franchise ranking. The manga leaves the attack unnamed; this name appears in a game, so it should not be mistaken for a manga-given label: Narutopedia’s technique reference.

2. Baryon Mode
Baryon Mode gives Naruto exceptional close-combat pressure against Isshiki, and physical contact drains the opponent’s life force. It is also a form, not a discrete projectile or strike. The official Naruto database classifies it as ninjutsu, describes Naruto as using the form in battle, and lists Kurama—not Naruto—as the jutsu’s wielder. Its cost is extreme: the chakra fusion burns through life force, and maintaining the form leads to the wielder’s death. That consequence keeps it below a sustainable top attack despite its potentially decisive effect: official Baryon Mode entry.
3. Wind Style: Rasen Shuriken
Rasen Shuriken evolves the Rasengan by adding Wind Style, turning Naruto’s signature sphere into a cutting, thrown attack with a much broader threat than a basic close-range Rasengan. The official retrospective explicitly describes it as Naruto’s own version of Rasengan. It ranks below the top two because it does not draw on the same end-of-series combination of Six Paths power and tailed-beast scale: official Rasengan retrospective.
4. Rasengan
Rasengan is the foundation for many of Naruto’s strongest attacks. Minato created it, and Naruto developed it into a family of techniques with different scale, nature transformation and delivery. Its compact form makes it useful at close range, while clones can help Naruto create or deliver it. Kakashi explains that the Fourth Hokage intended to add a change in nature to the technique; Naruto’s Rasen Shuriken realizes that evolution. The official retrospective recounts this lineage: official Rasengan retrospective.

5. Shadow Clone Technique
Shadow Clone Technique is not a finishing blow, but it is one of Naruto’s most consequential combat tools. Clones let him pressure multiple opponents, create openings, confuse an enemy and support the formation or delivery of larger attacks. Its value lies in multiplying options rather than in raw destructive output. The technique is most dangerous when it enables a stronger attack, rather than when clones are treated as a substitute for one.

Adding Sage power to a Rasengan gives Naruto a stronger close-range attack than the basic version, while preserving its direct, compact delivery. Its effectiveness depends on access to Sage power and a chance to bring the attack into range. This is a distinct combat use of Rasengan, not a claim that every variation is an entirely unrelated jutsu.
7. Tailed Beast Ball
The Tailed Beast Ball brings the scale of a tailed beast’s chakra to a concentrated ranged attack. It can threaten a wide area and is more suited to large-scale clashes than a standard Rasengan. Its use depends on access to tailed-beast power, which limits when Naruto can bring it to bear.

8. Tailed Beast Ball Rasenshuriken
This combination joins the destructive scale of a Tailed Beast Ball with Rasenshuriken’s cutting attack profile. It is a more specialized, higher-output option than either a basic Rasenshuriken or Rasengan, but requires tailed-beast chakra and carries the corresponding dependence on Naruto’s enhanced state.
9. Six Paths Sage Art: Super Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken
This multi-projectile attack draws on Naruto’s Six Paths power and tailed-beast chakra to launch Rasenshuriken with different chakra natures. Its breadth makes it useful against multiple threats or a large target. It ranks below the final-battle combination because the strongest demonstrated end-of-series attack is the more concentrated Ultra-Big Ball form.

By incorporating Lava Release into a Rasenshuriken, Naruto adds a different elemental effect to the technique’s cutting force. Its specialized nature can make it more useful than a standard Rasenshuriken in the right matchup, though it is not as broadly established as Naruto’s signature wind-based version.

11. Planetary Rasengan
Planetary Rasengan uses shadow clones to surround and apply multiple Rasengan strikes around a target. The surrounding attacks make it harder to evade than a single frontal impact, and the clone setup reflects Naruto’s strength in combining techniques. It still depends on reaching close range and coordinating the attack.
12. Big Ball Rasengan
Big Ball Rasengan increases the size and impact of the basic technique, making it a more forceful option when Naruto can close distance. It is less versatile than the later Rasenshuriken forms, but its straightforward delivery makes it a useful step between the original Rasengan and Naruto’s more elaborate combinations.
13. Multiple Shadow Clone Technique
Multiple Shadow Clone Technique turns Naruto’s numbers advantage into a direct battlefield tactic: a swarm can overwhelm an opponent, create feints or set up a coordinated strike. It is ranked below the more destructive entries because the clones’ value depends on how Naruto uses them. They are a force multiplier, not a guarantee of victory.

14. Sage Art: Wind Release Rasenshuriken
Combining Sage power with Wind Release: Rasenshuriken boosts an already dangerous technique. The result is a more potent attack than the standard version, but it requires both the Rasen Shuriken and the conditions needed to use Sage power. Its placement reflects that dependence as well as its strong but more specific role.
15. Kurama Avatar-assisted Rasengan
When Naruto uses Kurama’s chakra or avatar to enlarge and deliver a Rasengan, he turns a close-range technique into an attack with much greater reach and force. The combination is powerful but depends on access to Kurama’s chakra and cooperation with the tailed beast, rather than being an attack Naruto can use independently in every fight.

The final Naruto–Sasuke battle shows why the most spectacular attack does not automatically decide a fight. The official retrospective says both unleash their strongest moves, exhaust their chakra and then continue with hand-to-hand combat. That makes peak output only one measure of strength: a technique’s cost, reliability and what happens after it lands matter too. The retrospective points to the manga’s final volumes and chapters for the battle: official Naruto story retrospective.
