After spending time with its 30 tracks, these are the ten I keep coming back to—not a consensus ranking, but my own picks for the strongest performances, production and replay value.
Released March 14, 2025, MUSIC runs 1 hour and 16 minutes in Apple Music’s original 30-song listing. Its sound moves between aggressively blown-out, synth-heavy rap and poppier passages, a range Apple Music highlights in its editorial description. That scale makes a personal shortlist useful: the tracks below are the ones that make the album feel most vivid to me.

My 10 favorite tracks on MUSIC
This order reflects my taste rather than a claim that these are objectively the album’s best songs. I’m weighing vocal delivery, beat identity, energy, replay value and how a feature fits the track.

“POP OUT”
My top pick for immediate impact. The abrasive, blown-out sound gives the track a forceful entrance, and Carti’s delivery feels at home in the beat’s unruly intensity. It is the song I reach for when I want the album at its most confrontational.

“CRUSH”
“CRUSH” earns its place with a similarly high-energy approach, but its appeal for me is the contrast between the hard-edged production and the track’s more melodic pull. It has enough momentum to hit in the moment and enough shape to invite another listen.

“RATHER LIE”
The Weeknd’s appearance gives this one a different center of gravity. I like the shift away from pure aggression toward a more polished, pop-facing mood; the collaboration makes the change in texture feel purposeful rather than like a detour.

“GOOD CREDIT”
Kendrick Lamar’s feature adds a distinct presence, and that contrast is what makes the track memorable to me. Rather than blending into the album’s surrounding intensity, it gives the listening sequence a fresh vocal dynamic.

“RADAR”
Apple Music describes “RADAR” as evoking Atlanta’s early-2010s sound. I enjoy the way that reference creates a different atmosphere from the album’s more blown-out cuts, while still keeping the track firmly within Carti’s world.

“EVIL J0RDAN”
This is one of my favorite choices when I want the album’s darker, more forceful side. The production’s hard edges suit Carti’s vocal attitude, giving the song a focused identity amid a long track list.

“MOJO JOJO”
Its appeal is the energy: the beat keeps the track moving, and Carti sounds animated rather than restrained. I like it as a quick jolt in the middle of an album that often asks the listener to sit with a particular texture.

“FINE SHIT”
This pick leans toward the more accessible side of MUSIC. Its smoother feel gives my ears a welcome change of pace without making the album’s personality disappear.

“BACKD00R”
I’m drawn to the track’s atmosphere and the way it changes the album’s pacing. It works best for me as a mood piece: less about one explosive moment than about settling into its sound.

“OVERLY”
I round out the list with “OVERLY” because it is one of the songs I most enjoy returning to after the louder tracks. Its place here is about personal replay value and how it rounds out the range I hear across the album.

What the ranking says about the album
My top five show the contrast that keeps MUSIC interesting to me: blunt, high-impact tracks such as “POP OUT” and “CRUSH” sit alongside feature-driven or more melodic turns like “RATHER LIE” and “GOOD CREDIT.” “RADAR” adds another shade through its Atlanta reference. I prefer the album when it uses its length to change its mood, not when every track is asked to hit with the same intensity.
The release also made an immediate streaming impression: Billboard reported on March 16, 2025 that Spotify called it the platform’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2025 so far. That is a release-period claim, not an all-time record. In the UK, MUSIC reached No. 1 on the Official Albums Chart, with its first chart date listed as March 27, 2025.
Which version of MUSIC is this?
The track count depends on the edition. Apple Music’s original album page lists 30 songs and a 1-hour-16-minute runtime. Playboi Carti’s UK store lists a “MUSIC White Vinyl” edition released July 4, 2025, with 33 tracks across its four sides. The vinyl sequence is therefore not the same as the original streaming listing; a track-by-track comparison should specify which version it means.

Who should listen?
If you like Playboi Carti most when the production is abrasive and the energy is high, start with “POP OUT” and “CRUSH.” If you want to hear the album’s shifts in texture, add “RATHER LIE,” “GOOD CREDIT” and “RADAR.” My list favors tracks with a strong sonic identity, but the 30-song album’s range means another listener’s ten could look very different.
