Adele’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden is the most-viewed clip in the latest official tally we can confirm, at more than 260 million YouTube views as of Paramount’s April 24, 2023 announcement. That same announcement names only three clips from the most-watched late-night list, so a full ranked top ten cannot be built from it without guessing at the remaining seven. Those counts are more than three years old as of October 2026, so treat them as a dated snapshot rather than a live leaderboard. This article gives the confirmed order, the date behind each number, and how to check current totals yourself.
The three confirmed entries
The only official ranking evidence we could confirm is Paramount’s April 24, 2023 press release about Adele’s final Late Late Show segment. It describes three clips from the show’s most-watched late-night videos on YouTube at that time:
| Rank | Clip | Reported YouTube views | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Adele Carpool Karaoke | More than 260 million | Paramount press release, April 24, 2023 |
| 2 | One Direction Carpool Karaoke | 195 million | Same release, April 24, 2023 |
| 3 | Justin Bieber Carpool Karaoke | 158 million | Same release, April 24, 2023 |
The release does not give ranks four through ten, so no order for those seven clips is stated here. Placing any other video in the list would mean combining counts collected on different days, which would not be a fair comparison.
Why a complete top ten is not shown
“Carpool Karaoke” is used for two different things, and the rankings only apply to one of them.

The Late Late Show clips on YouTube
These are the segments James Corden recorded for The Late Late Show, uploaded to the show’s YouTube channel. Their view counts change every day, and the official source behind this list is a single dated announcement. Clips can also be removed, re-uploaded under new links, or edited, and a re-upload carries its own separate count. A list that looks complete today may differ from one checked later.
Apple’s Carpool Karaoke: The Series
Apple’s separate series is not part of the Late Late Show ranking. Apple’s series page describes it this way: “Each episode of ‘Carpool Karaoke: The Series’ features celebrities sharing a car, singing along to their personal playlists and embarking on adventures.” Apple’s December 2024 announcement introduced an holiday installment, A Carpool Karaoke Christmas, on Apple TV and Apple Music. Zane Lowe, who appears in it, said: “I’m very grateful to James for trusting me behind the wheel of a very expensive car with three of music’s most exciting artists, and I’m honored to be part of bringing this special ‘A Carpool Karaoke Christmas’ to fans all over the world.” Apple has not published view totals for these episodes in the sources reviewed, so they do not appear in the figures above.

How the numbers have changed over time
Earlier official figures show how quickly these counts grow. The table below sets out each date separately, because each column reflects a different day.
| Clip | TIME, December 2016 | Paramount, 2017 | Paramount, April 2023 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adele | 135.8 million | 153 million | More than 260 million |
| Justin Bieber | Not stated | 109 million | 158 million |
| One Direction | Not stated | 98 million | 195 million |
The TIME trending-video list from 2016 names Adele’s clip as the most-viewed video on its list, and the 2017 Paramount release gives the 2017 figures. The 2016 and 2017 sources do not list the other two clips, so those cells read “not stated.” Because the columns come from different dates, the gaps between them show growth over time, not a same-day ranking.

How to check current view counts
- On YouTube, search for the artist’s name followed by “Carpool Karaoke” and confirm that the uploader is the official The Late Late Show channel.
- Open the video and note the view count shown beneath the title, along with today’s date.
- Check every clip you compare on the same day. Counts from different days are not a fair ranking.
- If a clip appears under more than one link, compare only the official upload, since re-uploads carry their own totals.
- When you publish or share a ranking, include the date of the check, as the figures above do.
What the evidence supports
Adele’s Carpool Karaoke is the most-viewed clip in the latest official count we could confirm, and the other two named clips follow in the order shown. Beyond those three, no complete and current order can be stated from the sources available. A dated, same-day check of the official uploads is the only way to produce a current top ten.

The confirmed order is Adele (more than 260 million), One Direction (195 million), and Justin Bieber (158 million), all as of April 24, 2023. Ranks four through ten cannot be established from the official evidence, so this list should be read as a dated snapshot rather than a current leaderboard.
