In astrologer Jaime Wright’s ranking, Scorpio is the most sexual zodiac sign, followed by Taurus and Aries. The list is an entertainment-oriented reading of astrological archetypes, not a scientific ranking of people’s sex drives—and Wright says a person’s sun sign alone cannot determine their libido.
Wright’s ranking of the 12 zodiac signs
Wright’s article for PureWow, updated February 20, 2025, ranks the signs in this order. The descriptions below summarize her interpretations; they are not claims about what every person born under a sign wants or does.
- Scorpio: High-drive, adventurous and intimate, but selective about partners.
- Taurus: Sensuality and physical touch are central to Wright’s description.
- Aries: Associated with Mars and the pursuit of what it wants.
- Sagittarius: Flirtatious and drawn to variety.
- Leo: Desire is linked to feeling valued by a partner.
- Pisces: Desire is tied to emotional connection.
- Cancer: Trust, meaning and nurturing are emphasized.
- Capricorn: Steady and willing to put effort into a partner’s pleasure.
- Gemini: Conversation, humor and intellectual stimulation matter.
- Virgo: Needs to relax and get out of its head.
- Aquarius: Freedom and a mental orientation are emphasized.
- Libra: Sex is described as more connected to demonstrating love and commitment than to casual encounters.

Why other astrologers rank the signs differently
There is no single astrologer consensus behind these lists. Parade Astrology Editor MaKayla McRae’s June 16, 2025 article names Scorpio, Aries and Virgo as its top three. Wright places Taurus second and Virgo tenth. The different orders reflect differing interpretations and editorial choices, not a shared scoring system.

Future Method presents yet another kind of comparison. Its article begins with a 12-sign list that puts Scorpio first and Aries second, but later reports separate survey findings, including Libra having the most active sex life overall. Those survey claims should not be mistaken for Wright’s astrological ranking or blended into it.

Wright cautions that “the sun sign alone has nothing to do with someone’s sex drive.” Within astrology’s interpretive framework, she says that other chart factors, including planets, aspects and the relationship between two charts (synastry), are considered. Such symbolism is not a validated way to measure or predict an individual’s real-world libido.
Future Method says it surveyed 1,350 U.S. adults ages 18–75 from June 21 to July 1, 2022. It grouped respondents by reported birth date and scored sex drive using answers to 25 sex-related questions. That is the company’s reported methodology, not independent validation that zodiac sign determines sexual behavior. Its survey results remain distinct from astrologers’ interpretive rankings.
