Money Heist Season 6 has not been confirmed. Netflix called Part 5 the original series’ final part in 2020, then announced in May 2026 that the wider Money Heist universe would continue. The company has not named or dated the next project, so that franchise news is not a Season 6 renewal.
Will there be a Money Heist Season 6?
There is no confirmed sixth season of the original Money Heist series. Netflix’s 31 July 2020 announcement described Part 5 as the “5th and final part” and said the heist would come to an end. It planned 10 episodes for that final part; that number is not an episode count for a possible Season 6. Netflix’s Part 5 announcement
What did Netflix announce in 2026?
On 9 May 2026, Netflix said “the world of Money Heist will continue” and that its stories “do not end with Berlin and the Lady with the Ermine.” The announcement confirms that more stories in the franchise are coming, but it does not say that the original series has been renewed. Netflix did not identify the next project or give it a release date. Netflix’s 2026 announcement
What could the next Money Heist story be?
Netflix has not specified the format. A further Berlin season, another character spin-off, or a new heist have been discussed as possibilities, but none was confirmed in the announcement. A same-day report by What’s on Netflix also noted that the format was unspecified; its suggested directions are possibilities, not Netflix commitments. What’s on Netflix’s report

Do Berlin’s viewing figures mean Season 6 is likely?
Netflix reported that the first Berlin installment reached the Top 10 in 91 countries and accumulated 348 million hours viewed and 53 million views. The announcement did not specify the measurement period for those totals. They describe the reported performance of Berlin; they are not evidence that Netflix ordered a sixth season of the original series. Netflix’s figures and announcement
Netflix also reported that three seasons of Money Heist ranked fourth, sixth, and seventh on its all-time Top 10 for non-English-language series at the time of the May 2026 announcement. Those rankings are a snapshot from that date, not a renewal announcement.

What to expect next
The current confirmed position is straightforward: Part 5 was announced as the end of the original heist, while Netflix has since confirmed continuation of the broader franchise. Until Netflix names a project, a release date, and whether the original cast or story will return, calling the next installment “Season 6” goes beyond what has been announced.
