How Harry turns O’Hara’s betrayal into an ambush
“The Beast in Me,” the Season 1 finale, premiered June 1, 2025. It opens after Kevin Harrigan has killed Alan Rusby, the prison guard who abused him. Kevin joins Harry in pursuing Richie Stevenson, and Harry works out that family lawyer O’Hara Delaney is the mole.

Rather than simply expose O’Hara, Harry uses her access to Richie to draw Richie and his men into an ambush. The attack kills Richie and O’Hara. Kiko dies amid the violence at the Harrigan safe house, leaving the immediate Stevenson challenge broken. Paramount+’s series page is the official home listed for the show.
Who wins the Harrigan-Stevenson war?
The Harrigans regain the upper hand in London. TVLine’s recap reinforces how bounded that victory is: Maeve receives a text saying, “The war is won.” The message marks a result in the conflict with Richie’s faction, not proof that the family has secured lasting control.

#1 Best Overall
Anson Boon, who plays Eddie Harrigan, put the distinction this way in a TV Insider interview: “Well, the battle has been won, but the war has just begun.” The immediate battle is decided by the deaths of Richie and O’Hara; the broader struggle over the Harrigans’ future is still open.
Why the Harrigan victory is not a stable peace
Eddie’s position changes
Maeve reveals that Eddie is Conrad’s son. That changes Eddie’s standing in the family’s power struggle, but the finale does not settle what he will do with that claim.
The family’s internal rivalries remain
Paramount+ describes the Harrigans as fractured, with conflict among Conrad’s children and Kat McAllister posing a threat. Kevin has gained confidence, and Seraphina is considering her own move. Those tensions keep the succession unsettled even after the Stevensons’ immediate challenge is defeated.
Harry’s fate ends on a cliff edge
Jan stabs Harry during a domestic confrontation. The finale leaves the moment unresolved on screen. Paramount+’s explainer points to Season 2 cast announcements as context that Harry survives, but that is not an outcome shown in the finale itself.

- Richie Stevenson dies in Harry’s ambush.
- O’Hara Delaney, revealed as the mole, dies in the attack.
- Kiko dies during the violence at the Harrigan safe house.
What the finale leaves unresolved
The Harrigans have beaten Richie’s faction, but the episode does not establish who will ultimately control the family or whether its internal divisions will break it apart. Eddie’s newly revealed parentage, the moves under consideration by Kevin and Seraphina, and Kat’s threat all point beyond the immediate victory. Season 1 closes its central war with deaths, while leaving the next contest for power open.
