Joe and Jill Biden appeared on The View on May 8, 2025. ABC identifies ABC.com and Hulu as places to watch full episodes, but its current episode page does not confirm that the May 8, 2025 episode is still available. ABC News has published a separate clip from the interview about Biden’s description of his 2024 debate performance.
Where to watch the full interview
ABC’s The View episode page directs viewers to full episodes on ABC.com and Hulu. The page currently displays October 2026 episodes, so it does not establish whether the May 8, 2025 episode remains in either service’s catalog. Check the services directly for the episode; the availability of the complete older broadcast is unconfirmed.

What they discussed
In its May 8 report, ABC News said Joe Biden accepted some responsibility for Donald Trump’s 2024 victory while maintaining that he would have beaten Trump if he had stayed in the race. He discussed the election, Kamala Harris’s loss, the border, cost of living and reports about his cognitive condition.
Asked whether he accepted some blame for the result, Biden said, “I do, because, look, I was in charge and he won. So, you know, I take responsibility.” That is his stated view of responsibility, not independent proof of what caused the election outcome.
Rank #2
Responding to reports of cognitive decline, Biden said, “They are wrong. There’s nothing to sustain that.” The statement records his response to those reports; it does not independently resolve the dispute. ABC News also reported that Jill Biden defended her role and discussed future women’s health research.
