Millie Bobby Brown said she feels safe working with David Harbour and described their relationship as great. In an interview with Deadline during promotion for Stranger Things season five, she linked their closeness to a decade of working together and to playing Eleven and Jim Hopper, whose story develops into a father-daughter relationship.

Brown called their relationship “great” and said they work closely both in scenes and while preparing for them. She also praised Harbour’s commitment, saying his work inspires her to bring her “A-game” whenever they are on the call sheet together. E! News and Us Weekly quoted these remarks from Brown’s Deadline interview, which they reported was posted on November 28, 2025.
Brown also addressed whether she felt safe on set: “Of course I felt safe,” she said. “We’ve worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set.” The decade is Brown’s own description of their time working together, not an independently measured statistic.
How their characters shaped the bond
Brown and Harbour play Eleven and Jim Hopper in Stranger Things. Hopper becomes Eleven’s adoptive father in the story, and Brown connected their on-screen relationship to the closeness they developed while making the show. She said she was excited for viewers to see the “labor of love and hard work” they had put into the relationship’s conclusion in the final season.

The Daily Mail reported on November 1, 2025, that Brown had filed a bullying and harassment claim before filming the final season. Us Weekly later reported further details about an investigation, attributing them to an unnamed source. Those accounts are allegations and reported claims; the coverage cited here does not independently establish the complaint details or an investigation’s outcome.

The available reporting also does not make the allegations and her quoted comments equivalent kinds of evidence: one set consists of statements Brown made publicly, while the complaint details were described by secondary reporting and, in part, attributed to a source.

Stranger Things began in 2016, and Brown said in the 2025 interview that she and Harbour had worked together for 10 years. The remarks came during promotion for season five, which the coverage identified as the show’s final season. Brown and Harbour appeared together at the Los Angeles season-five premiere on November 6, 2025, according to Us Weekly and E! News; the appearance establishes that they attended the public event, not what their private relationship was like.

In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, published November 26, Brown said: “We love this show with everything, and we value our friendship more than anything.” Us Weekly quoted that comment in its November 29 coverage. It is distinct from her Deadline interview remarks about feeling safe and working closely with Harbour.
