Yes. Miley Cyrus confirmed on December 2, 2025, that she and musician Maxx Morando are engaged after four years of dating. She said Morando proposed during a recent trip to Japan. Their engagement had drawn attention the night before, when Cyrus wore a ring at the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash.

How did Maxx Morando propose?
Cyrus said Morando surprised her during a trip to Japan and got down on one knee. In an interview with ABC News’ Chris Connelly, she explained why she had not visited the country before: “I actually had never gone to Japan, which, I did that purposefully. I wanted one place in the world that could be my special place that I saved for me.”

How long have they been dating?
The contemporaneous announcement described the couple as having dated for four years. Vogue reports that they met on a blind date in 2021, but the available accounts do not establish an exact start date for their relationship. What does Miley Cyrus’s engagement ring look like?

Who is Maxx Morando?
