Mike Tyson’s bare buttocks briefly appeared during a live Netflix locker-room interview before his November 2024 fight with Jake Paul. Asked after the bout why he kept biting his glove, Tyson said it was a habit and that he had “a biting fixation.” The broadcast mishap and his glove-biting remark were separate moments.
What happened to Mike Tyson on the live broadcast?
Before the main event on November 15, 2024, Tyson was interviewed in his locker room by his son, Amir Tyson. As the interview ended, Tyson turned away and his bare buttocks briefly appeared on the live broadcast. MMA Fighting reported that the camera operator tried to pan away but did so too late; the Associated Press also described viewers seeing Tyson’s bare buttocks in a jockstrap as he walked away at the end of the interview.
It was a brief accidental exposure during the pre-fight interview, not an incident in the ring. The available reporting describes it as a mishap or faux pas and does not establish that Tyson exposed himself deliberately.
Why did Mike Tyson keep biting his glove?
After the fight, Tyson was asked about repeatedly biting his glove. As quoted by The Independent, he replied: “Oh, I have a habit of biting my gloves, yeah. I have a biting fixation.”

That is the explanation Tyson gave. The Independent read the remark as an apparent joke about his 1997 disqualification for biting Evander Holyfield’s ear. That connection is the reporter’s interpretation; Tyson did not offer a longer clinical, tactical, or psychological explanation in the quoted answer. His remark alone is not evidence that he intended to bite an opponent.

The Jake Paul–Mike Tyson bout took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on November 15, 2024. Netflix’s event page listed the main event as eight two-minute rounds and described it as a global live event.
