Shaun Weiss, best known for The Mighty Ducks, publicly offered former Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide actor Tylor Chase a bed and a place to pursue treatment. Weiss said he needed help finding Chase; subsequent reports described a hospital stay and further offers of support, but did not confirm that Chase entered rehabilitation or accepted treatment. The latest relevant reports available here are dated December 31, 2025.
What Shaun Weiss offered
In a video reported by Us Weekly on December 23, 2025, Weiss said he had received messages about Chase and had arranged a bed and a place for him to go for treatment. He said he still needed help locating him: “All we need to do is find him.”
The report said Chase might be in Riverside, California, and that Weiss asked people who could meet him to send a direct message. That public appeal and the arranged place were an offer of help—not confirmation that Chase had been found or entered treatment. Chase played Martin Qwerly on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
What later reports said about the effort
December 26: reported hospital evaluation
TMZ reported on December 26, 2025, citing Riverside advocate Jacob Harris, that a crisis-team evaluation led to Chase being taken to a Riverside-area hospital for medical attention. The report said a transfer to a rehabilitation facility was expected, but the facility had not been identified. It did not establish that a transfer or admission took place.

Just Jared reported on December 30, relaying updates from Weiss and Harris, that Chase had been released after a medical hold and was not then willing to accept help from a rehabilitation coach. The report also included a Riverside Police Department statement that officers had offered resources and Chase had declined assistance at that time. These reports describe specific offers and events; they do not establish a lasting outcome.
What Riverside officials said about intervention
In a TMZ report, Riverside Police Department spokesperson Ryan Railsback said officers could not force Chase into mental-health or substance-use treatment under the circumstances described.
