Those dates were provisional, not a current release calendar.
The five films and their planned dates
The dates below are the schedule given in Scroll’s year-end 2023 preview. The preview explicitly cautioned that dates could change. They should not be treated as verified final dates or as a guide to present-day availability.

How the films differ
The lineup was a group of anticipated titles, not a shared franchise or a single production slate. Its premise and creative-team details point to distinct kinds of films: a Christmas Eve encounter in Mumbai, a film centered on Air Force pilots, a rural train-separation story, a sequel built around Pushpa and his adversary, and an action role for Alia Bhatt.
What later records establish about the schedule
Laapataa Ladies
Yash Raj Films’ film page lists March 1, 2024, and identifies Kiran Rao as director. It names Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan and Chhaya Kadam in the principal cast. YRF’s film page also describes the two-bride premise.

Pushpa 2: The Rule
Release dates for this title vary by territory and record. The British Board of Film Classification lists December 4, 2024, in its classification listing; Geek Pictures separately announces a Japanese release in January 2026. Neither date should be generalized as a single worldwide release date. See the BBFC listing and Geek Pictures’ Japanese release announcement.
The remaining titles
The reviewed material confirms that the 2023 preview scheduled Merry Christmas, Fighter and Jigra for the dates shown above, but it does not establish their final release dates or current viewing options across territories. For Merry Christmas, an Indian Express archive also lists January 12 and the same director and lead actors.

Scroll published its preview on December 31, 2023, under the headline “The Hindi films we are looking forward to in 2024.” Its deck asked, “Are we being hopelessly naive, or will we be pleasantly surprised?” That was editorial anticipation at the end of 2023, not a verdict on the films or a report on how they were ultimately received.
The original schedule is useful as a snapshot of what the article anticipated. It does not establish a complete current watch guide: final dates and viewing routes for all five films in every territory are not verified here. Check a current local listing or official film page for present availability rather than relying on this historical schedule.
