Mercedes Moné confirmed she spoke with Shane McMahon at LaGuardia Airport on July 1, 2024, the day after AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. The brief encounter prompted speculation because AEW reportedly came up, but the available accounts do not establish that McMahon signed with AEW, received a formal offer, or agreed to a role.
