Contemporary coverage by PEOPLE, published by Yahoo News, described the occasion as a rare red-carpet appearance. “Rare” is a relative description in that report, not a measured claim about how frequently the couple attend red-carpet events.

The gala was part of a two-day World Mental Health Day program. Project Healthy Minds said Harry and Meghan would also appear at its October 10 festival, where the Archewell Foundation’s Lost Screen Memorial was scheduled to be displayed. The organization described Archewell as a partner on discussions at the festival.
