Megan Thee Stallion’s anime project is called Hotties, and she has said it is being made with The Boondocks creative Carl Jones. In a February 2026 update, she said she was about to record voice work for her character. No release date, plot, episode count, full cast or official first-look art has been established in the reporting available as of October 2026.
What is Megan Thee Stallion’s anime called?
Megan referred to the project as Hotties in a February 2026 video update, according to Chron and ComicBook.com. She also identified Carl Jones as her collaborator and said she was about to record her character’s voice. That describes planned voice work; it does not confirm that recording has been completed.
What has been confirmed about the project?
The 2025 announcement
Megan announced an anime collaboration with Jones during a fireside chat at DreamCon in Houston on May 30, 2025. The Houston Chronicle reported that the series was for Prime Video. At the event, Megan said, “You ain’t never seen an anime like this ever in your life.” The announcement did not include a plot or other substantive production details.
Jones is known for work including The Boondocks, a connection also noted in Chron’s June 2025 account. Megan attended DreamCon dressed as Yoruichi Shihōin from Bleach; that was her convention cosplay, not evidence about Hotties’ characters or visual style.

What the reporting does—and does not—establish
The collected reporting identifies Prime Video as the intended platform, but does not include a Prime Video press release or official series page. The most precise description is therefore an anime project announced for Prime Video, rather than a title with a platform-published listing.
- Known: Megan named the project Hotties, named Carl Jones as collaborator, and said she was about to record voice work.
- Not established: a release date or window, plot synopsis, episode count, complete cast, production format or official artwork.
When will Megan Thee Stallion’s anime come out?
No release date or premiere window is established by the reporting cited here. The February 2026 voice-work update is a production-status detail, not a schedule announcement. Without a confirmed date, claims that the series will arrive in a particular season or year are speculation.

Is the viral clip from Megan’s anime?
No. In March 2026, Megan said a clip circulating online was from an unreleased music video for “Gift & A Curse,” not from the anime. She also said viewers had not yet seen what the show looks like. Complex reported her clarification; Bleeding Cool also covered it. The clip should not be treated as a trailer, first look or evidence of the series’ art style.

A reliable update would establish details that remain open: an official platform listing or announcement, a release date or window, a plot description, confirmed cast, episode count, or authorized images. Until those are published, neither fan theories nor unrelated Megan footage can fill in the show’s creative or scheduling details.
