Natalie Sharp as Blake Hartford
Netflix’s detailed Season 2 character guide calls Sharp’s character Blake Hartford, while the cast overview uses B. Hartford. Blake is a champion rodeo rider whom Katherine brings in to help Alex learn bronc riding. Alex is drawn to her confidence and ability, and the two kiss before he recognizes that he is not over Jackie. Blake’s role also puts a woman navigating a male-dominated sport into the rodeo storyline.
Carson MacCormac as Zach
Zach is a confident senior who makes an effort to get to know Nathan. The character guide says Zach previously dated Skylar and becomes a factor in Nathan and Skylar’s breakup. The pair repair their friendship by the end of the season.

The season picks up after Jackie leaves Silver Falls at the end of Season 1. Netflix describes her as 16 and trying to work out where she belongs. The newcomers broaden that setup through Alex’s rodeo interests, Nathan and Skylar’s relationship, the families of Grace and Katherine, and the town’s development debate.
Is Season 2 based on Ali Novak’s sequel?
No. Ali Novak’s My Life with the Walter Boys inspired Season 1, and Novak released a sequel in April 2025. Netflix describes Season 2 as an original story independent of that book sequel. The novels offer context for the series’ literary origins, but the sequel should not be treated as the source for the new season’s cast or plot.
